Medallia Acquires Voice-to-Text Specialist Voci Technologies

Medallia (NYSE: MDLA) is acquiring Pittsburgh-based Voci Technologies to integrate Voci’s AI-based speech-to-text technology into its data analytics platform, enabling a robust, real-time “customer voice” to “actionable business analytics” capability.  Voci has successfully applied its speech technology to a range of applications, including contact centers, finance, healthcare, insurance and others areas of business process optimization. Started by Rutenbar in 2008 based on research from his CMU In Silico Vox team, the company has grown rapidly and currently has offices in Pittburgh’s strip district.
