Former research group member Amith Singhee (CMU PhD 2008) has been appointed as Director of IBM Research India, and Chief Technology Officer for IBM India and South Asia. In this role, he is responsible for strategy for the Research Division of IBM India, and for connecting this work to support new IBM products and services. His portfolio includes fundamental research in the areas of Hybrid Cloud, AI, Quantum Computing, Security, and Sustainability.
In his new CTO role, Amith works with regional academic and industrial partners to connect IBM’s tech vision. Congrats to Amith on this prestigious new role at IBM!
